Combo cases with separate surgeons

When a surgery requires 2 or more surgeons from separate practices both offices need access to supply information regarding the case. [i.e. MD 1 doesn't have the CPT codes for MD 2]. This delays the scheduling of the procedure as our policy states we must have all the case information especially implants.

    This is a challenge for sure. We just have each MD enter their own ICD-10 and CPTs - the challenge is in Cerner.........and "tricking" the linking device between SSM and Cerner to recognize the surgeon............this is hard to explain by typing.

    Also for dual cases, is there a way to split the screen so we can view both orders at the same time. Other wise, we will keep having to go into a case, back out and go to the other surgeons orders, meanwhile, we no longer have the first case locked. So it is available for anyone to go into it while you are on the second surgeons orders. Again, causing duplicate postings.
